Well, in the same vein as Edna, here comes Queenie. Noah claimed her as his own as soon as he saw her this morning - oh will I ever get anything made for my shop!
Anyway - must buzzzzz off and make something else.
Aren't these just beautiful- we had some loved friends to play today and Fiona brought these from her garden.
They also convince me that we are absolutely right to paint our walls off white. We have been deliberated over colours for too long now and we have just decided to paint the old white. We are absolutely right - it suits us best.
Hi Sarah, not sure if this helps but it should be a little clearer. It is just a scrap of Cath Kidston material which I have chopped up for the windows - courtesy of Donna at www.craftyoldthing.blogspot.com.
(Sarah of www.mamanjackjack.blogspot.com was just wondering what was in the windows).
Last night I was getting bored sewing binding on aprons so I indulged myself with am idea I have been 'sittong on' for a while and this is what I 'hatched'.
Sethie is madly into books at the moment - it is really sweet - he toddles over to his book shelf, chooses and brings it over and climbs up. One of his favourites is a nativity story which he received at Christmas and in it are some lovely animal illustrations. The hen in particular grabbed my eye and sent me off onto a tangent of creating a cute hen for Sethie. This is probably one of the first things I have made for him.
So without further ado please meet "Edna'. I gave him to Sethie this morning all full of pride. He took one look at it, smiled adoringly and dropped it on the floor - his favourite trick at the moment.
However undeterred I will be making some more and putting them into my Etsy. Also planning a whole stable full of animals!
Did anyone see the article by Janet Street-Porter about blogs in the Independent on Sunday yesterday?
I would like to quote her but - oh, unfortunately it is already in the bin.
Anyway she bangs on about how sad blogging is and how we are clogging up the internet and basically no-one is interested in our thoughts, feelings, creations, comments etc. anyway.
Well I beg to differ and while we are on the subject of a waste of time and lots of meaningless drivel, well isn't that what she... No don't go there - take the moral highground (as Richie always reminds me).
We welcome into the world little Ella Louise - who arrived just last week. Our good friends, Ant and Maxine have become proud parents - and what fantastic parents they will make. We are only sorry that we are not close enough to see your little beauty.
We wish your whole family health and happiness, love and great joy over these busy years. This little pink dino is on her way to Ella!
Well, I'm new to this spot but thought I would give it a go as I have a lot of things pending:
Seth will be one on the 9th August, so we will have a little party and I wanted to make some little party bags for his friends. I have chosen cars as he is just getting into them and I am hoping that this will continue - just to give him his own interest away from his brother's mad train obsession.
Two aprons waiting to be sewn - either to use as samples or to put into Etsy. I think I am now developing stage fright about etsy - because I have been thinking about starting my own little business and this is like putting my toe in the water - but what (aaaahhh!) if nobody wants my stuff! Anyway will have to bite the bullet and put something in there soon.
My children's baking swap which just needs to have one thing added and posted tomorrow - I am sooooo behind in this swap!!
I have also just bought 10metres of the most beautiful pale blue with white polka dot fabric (pic was rubbish - sorry) to make curtains for bay window - it is so lovly and I cannot wait until this room is ready for its' new curtains - quite a lot of floor sanding, wall painting and fireplacing tiling to be done first though/
So there you go - that's what I have on.
Hey guess what - I have my own etsy shop located at www.littlepinktoes.etsy.com
But don't look in it yet - there isn't anything in it yet - I am just reeling from the fact that I managed to set it up myself.
You see Richie normally does these things for me, but tonight he was watching something and I was behaving like a petulent 3 year old with no patience and no understanding (well what do you expect when you hang out with one all day!). I should explain that I have had a rather trying day. Very hot - 5 hours (yes 5 hours!!) spent at kiddies farm with lots of why questions and stroppiness and then tots who would not go to sleep even though they were dog tired on a night when I want to go out - doesn't happen very often - and then I go out and have to come back because youngest has woken up screaming and now I have gone and written this whole sentence without any punctuation!!!! AAAAAAAAAAH! Richie will not be impressed with lack of punctuation - well I say go punctuate yourself.
Anyway Etsy shop will be up and running again and if Richie ever speaks to me again perhaps he will make me one of those cute little button links!
Tomorrow is Maisie's 3rd birthday and here is a little apron which I have made for her. The fabris comes courtesy of a fabric with swap with Donna at Vintage Fabrics. Finally putting yours in the post tomorrow!
